Masika BBS Comprehensive Terms

Membership & Fees
- Registration Fee: one-off payment (Comfort KES 200, Dignity KES 2,000, Wazazi KES 100/parent, Chama KES 1,200/member).
- Monthly Subscription: due on or before the 5th of every month.
- Late payment: may result in suspension or loss of benefits.
- No retrospective eligibility: paying after an event does not create coverage.
- Official payment channel: M-Pesa Paybill 348127, account = Membership Number.
Important: Registration Fee and Monthly Subscription are separate payments. Paying the Registration Fee does not cover future Monthly Subscriptions.
Benefits & Waiting Periods
- Comfort Plan: waiting period 4 months.
- Dignity Plan: waiting period 4 months.
- Wazazi Plan: waiting period 4 months.
- Chama Plan: waiting period 4 months.
- Benefits include hearse, mortuary storage, tents & chairs, gazebo, flowers, PA system, memorial portrait, coffin/casket.
- Cash Benefit option: up to KES 110,000 per adult (Comfort Plan) or KES 50,000 per child.
- All benefits subject to limits, eligibility, and exclusions.
Note: Completion of a waiting period does not automatically guarantee payment. Membership must be active and all conditions satisfied.
Exclusions & Fraud
- Exclusions: suicide, terrorism, acts against Kenyan law, pre-existing conditions (where applicable).
- Fraud: false claims, falsified documents, impersonation, or concealment of material information.
- Consequences: claim rejection, membership termination, recovery of benefits, and reporting to authorities.
- Membership is personal and non-transferable.
- Masika BBS reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for non-payment or breach of terms.
Important: Claims arising from fraud or misrepresentation will be rejected and may result in legal action.
Responsibilities & Law
- Members must provide accurate information and update changes promptly.
- Members must pay fees on time and use official payment channels.
- Members must cooperate with claim verification and provide genuine documents.
- Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
- Disputes shall first be resolved through the Company's complaints process.
- Masika BBS may revise fees, benefits, and terms with notice to members.
