Coverage Timeline
Waiting period: 6 months from enrolment
Pre-existing Conditions
Any illness existing before joining is not covered in the first 12 months.
Conditionally accepted (declare at enrolment — covered after 12 months):
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Mild asthma
Not Eligible for Cover
A parent cannot be enrolled if they currently have:
- Active cancer treatment
- Kidney failure or on dialysis
- Heart failure or recent stroke
- Terminal illness
- Severe chronic respiratory disease
Health Declaration Required
- No terminal illness at enrolment
- Not currently hospitalised
- No major surgery in the last 6 months
- Non-disclosure may result in claim rejection
